Warrior longbow is mostly condi or hybrid while DH is power.Because you will definitely want a melee set, you will have plenty of choices for DH. For warrior, it will most likely be sword/torch. Last, I prefer warrior GS to guardian. The former has more style and utility while the later has more damage and aoe.
Hey there, am relatively new to the game and have been trying out the various classes. So far, I've really enjoyed playing the mesmer and engineer classes but I've read some older posts that they may not be suitable for playing with a higher ping (I'm playing at about 250-300 ping).
I would say that the classes in GW2 all play a little bit differently than in WoW, however if you are looking for something similar feel-wise to Death Knight, I would suggest Revenant or maybe Guardian as a more magic oriented heavy armor wearing fighter. For a Warrior vibe, well, there is always a Warrior.
2) Revenant: mid HP with heavy armor, lots of mobility and resustain; maybe the stongest class at soloing PvE at the moment, the core and Herald specs are mostly mele, but the Renegade ranged game is very strong. Viable with bot power and condition stats, meta in almost every facet of the game. A bit more complex to learn, has some annoying bugs.
The latest entry in the specialization segment of Guild Wars 2, the Willbenders allow this class to equip off-hand swords, making them more mobile. Virtues in this case are focused more on movement and fire. Warrior Class. Warriors are more like soldiers in Guild Wars 2, focusing more on defending and attacking alongside each other.
Loved ele from gw1, and even though they are very different in 2, still had to play it. Necro was due to what I had read about ele being hard/nerfed/etc and wanting to get some playing on an easier character. And ranger, because my original gw guild was a ranger guild and I always liked having a pet (and I have unlocked them all on her as well).
[Guide] One of the most common questions new players ask for help picking out a class to play. Below I've summarized the selling points of all the classes, as well as detailing their Elite Specializations which are class variants you can unlock in each of the game's expansions. Before we get going I'd just like to go over point out a few things:
3. Elonian armor (medium) Elonian armor for the desert chic. For the enterprising Thief, this armor shows off an interesting sense of style that speaks to a bit of desert chic. As with most armor in GW2, this is a set of pieces, but the one that is most attention-grabbing is the headpiece, or mask.
All core classes are viable for all content in the game. It can easily be argued some specs are better/more efficient than core for completing certain content and that's true. But if anyone ever tells you "that" class cannot beat "this" content then that is just flat out wrong, so feel free to ignore such claims. 2.
110. Posted April 24, 2018. Thief is probably the best at total stealth up-time and vertical mobility. Sadly it isn't all that impressive since most other classes have just as much mobility+nearly as much stealth while being more durable and/or have more dps. Feels bad man :c.
