Video tutorial on how to testing and troubleshoot a BMW air flow meter which is the design of an early style mass air flow sensor. This is a Bosch Motronic s
HOW TO CLEAN MAF SENSOR MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR ON BMW E46 E39 E53 E83 X3 X5 Z3 Z4 E60 E65If you have BMW and you have code P0102 or code P0113 this is the righ
The mass air flow sensor, as its name suggests, senses the mass of incoming air. There are two main types of mass air flow sensors – the hot-wire and hot-film type. While they might sound quite different, they work quite similarly. Both sensors, in most cases, are located between the air filter box and the intake manifold of the engine.
Service Plan. 1. Check line and plug connections. Open circuit or short circuits in the signal line, open circuit in power supply to the hot film air mass meter) 2. If wires and plug connections are OK: Replace mass air flow sensor.
The connectors was broken. A brand new one was installed. The problems started at this point. From this time i have problems with engine start (very rough idle). Also as i can see the lamdaprobes also have some problems. If the engine warms up, idle is normal after engine start. Everything started with the new mass air flow sensor.
5,660. My Cars. 2005 M3 & 2004 330i. Since you have a 323, I believe there is a Hyundai MAF you can use that's pretty cheap. It has the exact same Siemens part number. At least here in the states, it tends to be around $120-150 IIRC. 03-25-2014, 09:36 AM #6. MarcoZandrini. Member.
1. YOUR CAR HESITATES OR SUDDENLY JERKS FORWARD WHILE ACCELERATING. A bad MAF sensor can cause your vehicle to experience poor drivability issues such as engine stalling, jerking or hesitation during acceleration. This could happen while speeding up on the highway on-ramp or cruising down a city street.
How to troubleshoot a MAF sensor – a technician’s checklist. 1. Check the connector for a correct fit and good contact. 2. Check the mass air flow sensor for damage. 3. Check the measuring elements for damage. 4. Check the voltage supply with the ignition switched on (circuit diagram for pin assignment is necessary).
Mass Airflow (MAF) Circuit High Air Flow and High Voltage Output. The Code P0103 code is often associated with a P0100, P0101, P0102 and P0104 codes which are closely related. What the P0103 code means. P0103 is the code for a problem with the Mass Airflow (MAF) Sensor having a high voltage output to the Engine Control Unit (ECU).
Analog mass air flow sensor is used in models produced to 09 I 2006. The sensor, incorporating an electrically heated film in the air flow stream, sends to the ECM a varying voltage (approx. 0.5-4.5 volts) representing the mass of the intake air. The ECM provides operating voltage and ground to the air flow sensor. As air flows through the
